New things Addison is up to these days:
--Can say momma, dadda, dog, bird, stewart, cory, ya, buhbye, nana, papa, drink, bite, shorty, what's that, who's that
--Knows the sound and can identify a bird, dog, cow, and duck.
--Knows where "her" drawer in the kitchen is
--Is such a big helper when it comes to making breakfast/lunch/dinner
--Enjoys going for walks in the wagon
--Blue's Clues and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are on repeat now
--Can answer yes or no when asked a question
--borderline running
--loves to play peekaboo with her blankey, paddy cake, and itsy bitsy spider
--Has such a great appetite! Favorites include-pretty much all fruit, noodles, hot dogs, spaghetti, chicken, yogurt, applesauce, cereal bars and Gerber fruit snacks
--Is having nightmares or night terrors 2-3x a week.
--LOVES going to school still. She can say a few of the kids names and said "kelly" (her teacher) the other day
--Is definetly becoming more independant with certain things
--Tries to put on articles of clothing. Socks, shoes and slippers are her favorite. She knows which socks are hers and which are ours so she tries to put socks on us.
--Knows how to work my Iphone....which may cause trouble in a couple years when she thinks she "deserves" one lol!
--Her "job" is to feed the dogs at night
--Can *almost* climb on the couch without standing on something.

I guess that's about it. I'm sure there are more things that I'm missing but it is just so hard to remember them all when it seems like there's something new every day!

Kyle took her to Bass Pro today to look at the fish and other animals. After that we are off to get Easter pictures taken! Have a good Sunday :)

Bellaboos!

My friend Audrey (the one I blogged about here) and I took the kids to Bellaboos today. Taking two 15 month olds to an indoor playplace was quit the adventure! But we all had fun and we will be doing it again. Actually we are going to the Chicago Children's Museum *hopefully* on April 2nd.

First we played at the water table...

Then we played in the Toddler Room. It was completely patted and had a little ball pit, lots of books and toys. And only kids 2 and under could be in there. It was a nice break from all of the other rooms.

Then we got our face painted :)

On to the BIG indoor play place. Lots of slides, tunnels and a HUGE ball pit! The awesome thing about the ball pit is that kids can put the balls in this tube and they get sanitized! How cool is that? Addi and Bear LOVED the ball pit...and slides...and tunnels!

And they have a little village area too. There was a resturant, grocery store and dress up room. Addi was a little upset that these crackers weren't real :(

Overall it was a great day. I can't wait to go back and do more things with Addi and Bear. They are being best buddies. Bear even got Addi a shirt that says "I heart my BF" :)

Relay for Life

I am participating in the Relay for Life walk on June 18-19th. A member of my team must be walking from 6pm-8am. The event is taking place at Chesterton High school.

Why am I walking? In December of last year my grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 intestinal cancer. On February 3, 2010 he passed away. My mom had cervical cancer years ago. My dad has skin cancer (bengin).

What you can do? Donate. Walk. Raise awareness. Not only does my entire family suffer in way one or another from PKD but now we have to deal with cancer as well.

If you would like to donate or sign up please go HERE. I have joined the Duneland YMCA team.

My goal is $200. I have $35 so far. The slightest amount would help so many people.

Thank you in advance for anything you can do.

Move it move it shake it shake!

In going with my new years resolution, remember it here, I have been doing Zumba for about a month now. I don't know how much weight I've lost since I don't have a scale but I know I'm loosing. My pants are HUGE, my shirts are much looser and I can fit into the jeans I wore before I had Addison. I do Zumba 3 days a week and workout (eliptical/weights) 2 days a week. Usually Wednesday and Fridays are my days off but I went to a bootcamp class this week and fell in love.

It feels so good to be sore after a good workout!

Maple Sugar Fest

Sunday I took Addison to the Maple Sugar Fest. She was very upset that she couldn't walk the trail, she did have fun "learning" though. ha! We were also in the newspaper but I can't find that picture anymore.

At one tour spot, my mom got to drill a hole in a tree and see how the sap comes out. Addi was quite excited to see Nana participate. We hung around with the rangers for a little bit and she even went to one!

The tour ended at the Chellberg house. She had a lot of fun sitting out front and eating the homemake cookies. I'm still really upset that there are no more animals there. She saw a horse and was super excited. Oh well, there's always the zoo I guess!

Sorry the picture isn't great. There were lots of people telling her how adorble she was that she didn't even care about the camera!

These Shoes Are Made For Walking.....

We had a girls only shopping trip today. Aunt Britty, cousin Emileigh, Addi and I went to the mall for shoes. I think I may be starting a bad habit here with Addison. The first store we went to Finish Line, she picked out a two pairs of shoes.

The first pair, Nike Freedom Lite Toddler Running Shoes

And the second Adidas Streen Run Minnie Mouse Toddler Casual Shoe

I just had to get the Minnie Mouse shoes since she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse nowadays. Maybe I'll order the Nike shoes and give them to her as an Easter present. Hmm that's an idea!! OH and she has HUGE feet now! When we bought her old shoes back in October she was a 3.5, now she is a 5! She's actually right on track for her age :)

She wasn't too happy that I made her sit in the stroller.

She also wasn't too happy I made her ride on the carousel.

Or really I should say she didn't like when it started moving...

But I'm a mean mommy and kept taking pictures :P

But at the end of the day it was just me and Addi.

We played, read books, I threw her on the bed a few times, tickled the sillies out of her and we snuggled on the couch while watching The Good Night Show

And in the words of Nina and Star:

Hey! Hooray!

We had another fantastic
day and now it is time
to say

Good...
Banana?

Good...
Noodle?

Good Night!

Snow Days!

99.9% sure Addison loves the snow. But don't take my word for it. Just look at the pictures and watch the movies :) I'm really wondering if she could be ANY more like her father....
