The Time Has Come

As much as I'd have liked to keep Addi in her crib until she turned 5 and then just locked her in her room until she turned 30, she had better plans. On Friday night she figured out how to climb out of her bed. There was no trial run either. I layed her down, we said our goodnights, I turned around to turn off the light and walk out the door and she was out of her crib :( So at 9pm Kyle and I had to convert her crib to a big girl bed and make it seem like it was the best thing ever when in reality it was breaking my heart :( She has done very well though. Only woke up once Saturday morning at 5 and it was because she lost her juice cup and I put her back to bed. The only bad part about her being in her big girl bed is I don't hear her get up. She just goes to the door and knocks and says "mommy, up!" Ugh 6:45 comes early! I did buy her some bed rails yesterday just in case she starts to feel adventerous and wants to roll around. I don't want her to fall out.

And so the venture begins....

Ahh sound asleep in her big girl bed :(

In other news Kyle and I got the flu today and have been so miserable. I'm hoping Addi doesn't get it. I went shopping on Black Friday and absolutely LOVED it! I will definitely go again next year. Addi, Emileigh and Mason are DONE! Saturday the Ledbetter side had family pictures done. We got our Christmas card picture (too bad Kyle isn't smiling!) and I haven't decided if I just want to send cards with the picture or make an actual card. I may just wait until I get Addi's Christams pictures taken (would have been today, but this is the first time I've gotten out of bed/off the couch) and see what I should do. Suggestions?

Chicago Shopping!

Today was Addison's first trip (and shopping experience) to Chicago. Grandma L took us to the American Girl doll store and out to lunch at Rainforest Cafe (delicious!!)

Addi had to have her baby NOW so grandma let her have it-it was suppose to be a Christmas/Birthday present. I bought her a baby bath tub and some accessories. So for Christmas she's getting a bed, high chair and a tub for her babies. I also just got in the mail a 'baby check up' bag for baby dolls. This girl has more baby dolls than Octomom :)

This is the doll she got

This is the bath tub I bought her

And the bath accessories I bought her. The other one wasn't online for some reason...

And we're off....

In front of the Water Tower with grandma

Had to open her baby as soon as she got it...

Heading out to Rain Forest Cafe..baby in hand of course!

Right outside of the RFC

Rocking her baby to sleep. Then asked me to rock them both to sleep.

I can't wait for her to open up the gifts I bought her!

Y3W-Birthday weekend extravaganza

Birthday Weekend Extravaganza!

Sunday is my birthday. The big 26. Wow. 4 years til the big 3-0. Uhhh I mean no, I'm not turning 30. I'm going to stay 26 forever lol

Saturday I'm finally using my gift card to Indian Oak and getting a pedicure with Jess. Saturday night Jess planned a party for me. We are going to El Salto for dinner then Hooligans after. I haven't had a birthday party thrown for me since I was like 15. I'm looking forward to a good time.

Sunday, well I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm hoping to sit in my pajamas all day, watching tv, hopefully kid free.

Outfits...

Next weekend is our jam packed weekend of pictures. Saturday is Kyle's extended family picture and Sunday is my family's Christmas and Addi's 2nd birthday pictures. I'm hoping Addi isn't in one of her moods and actually cooperates.

Here is her outfit for the Ledbetter side and her 2nd birthday. I am really loving the sweater dress and boots look on her. Tiny bit jealous I can't pull it off ha!

This is her Christmas dress. I'm not sure if it's brown and pink or black and pink so I'm not sure on the shoes yet.

The Ledbetter side of the family is wearing black sweaters and jeans, but we wanted Addi and the great grandparents to stand out, hence Addi wearing pink. We are also getting individual family pictures done. I'm hoping there's a good one of Kyle, Addi and me. For my family side I think I'm going to wear a brown sweater (if in fact Addi's dress is brown and pink).

I can't decide if I'm just going to use one of Addi's pictures in our Christms card or one of our whole family. Guess I'll just have to wait and see the finished product of both and then decide.....

Christmas Presents

I've started Christmas shopping for Addison and have so far bought these items, along with the Blue's Clues stuff from Ebay that I blogged about earlier.

I think I'm also going to get her a portable DVD player that is on sale at Best Buy. Two dvd players for $80, can't be that. They have also received good reviews so that makes it another plus too. I'm going to get her some clothes and probably some puzzles then hold on for a little bit. I really do think that I'm going to get her the Leapster2 and some games.

Planning is in full force....

For Addi's 2nd birthday party!! I've decided that the theme isn't going to be Barnyard, as I previously mentioned, instead it's going to be Blue's Clues! I've searched everywhere for Blue's Clues decorations and have found so many on eBay. Luckily Kyle hasn't checked the bank account lately because I've been going a little crazy lol! Here is what I've gotten so far for the party...

My friend Melaine from work is making the cake

I got a 48 piece party favor pack for $10, you seriously can't beat that!

Instead of treat bags I bought these cute treat boxes.

Going to make these molds and put them in the treat boxes

And of course, can't forget the napkins!

I've also done a little Christmas shopping and this is what I have so far. These are all going to be stocking stuffers...well minus the pillow. That will just get wrapped as a regular present.

A little Beanie Baby Blue dog..super cute!

A nightgown....

Joe's notebook

The pillow...that I'm sure we will have to carry EVERYWHERE!

A letter from Addi...

Let me translate this for you...

It says, "I love mommy, I love dada, I love Addi". She also drew our family. Such talent for a 22 month old <3
