10 down, 2 to go..

Months that is!! Happy 10 month birthday Addison!!! I can't believe in two months she will be one! Even though I've already started getting things for her party I don't think that its completely kicked in yet.

New things she's doing:
*Saying mama, baba, nana and sometimes dada.
*drinking juice from a cup
*eating pretty much everything. not alot of baby food anymore
*NOT sleeping at daycare, or anywhere else that isn't her bed
*super speed crawling
*loves playing peekaboo
*clapping when we get excited about something
*gives kisses almost on command
*gives high-5's almost always on command
*starting to love books more. She actually gave me a few books this morning to read to her.
*is starting to figure out what her toys to instead of just chewing on them
*putting shapes in her shape sorter toys, sometimes with little to no help
*NO teeth yet :(

It's amazing to see how much she's progressed in 10 months, more like in the past two. She's growing up so fast! Where did my little cuddly baby go??? I cherish each and every day and look forward to what tomorrow brings.

Happy 10 Month Birthday Addison! Mama and dada love you!

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight we carved our pumpkins. Well Addison ate a butter cookie while Mom and Dad did all the hard work. I think they turned out very nice if I do say so myself!

Surgery

Addison had her surgery on Friday morning. She did great! She went in about 7:15 and we got to see her at 8:15. She was having a hard time waking up from the anestesia, but the nurses gave her some medicine to calm her down. We were home by 10. It was a pretty lazy day, with Addison sleeping alot or just wanting to be cuddled. Yesterday she was just a little cranky but you really couldn't tell she had surgery. Nights are rough. She's waking up every 4-5 hours-which I'm totally not used to! Today she has a cold, or drainage from surgery, I'm not sure but she's definetely back to her old self again!

Life Update

Wanted to do this seperatly because only some of it pertains to Addison...

Friday she is having tubes put in and her adnoids taken out. I knew it was inevitable with all the ear infections she's had and I was all for it, knowing this could "cure" her of ear infections. Now I'm getting nervous. My baby will be going under anesthesia for the first time. At 9 1/2 months old. It's a little scary if you think about it. I'm taking Friday off, but working Saturday. I'm hoping she's not in too much pain and the meds help her.

Found out last Friday that my grandpa has stage 4 intestinal cancer. He was having surgery to remove some polups when they found the cancer. It has spread to his colon but not his liver so I guess thats good. He can't start any chemo until he's healed from surgery, which will be like a month. So we won't know how much it has spread, how bad it is or anything for another month. I don't understand how that's even possible. My head is just spinning not knowing anything.

Little Pumpkins

Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch with a friend and her two kids and Addison absolutely LOVED it! It was a little cold but she could have cared less. We picked our two pumpkins, took a few pictures and off we went.

New Words!

Addison now says "mama" "baba" and sometimes "papa". I think I've heard a few 'dadas" in there but she doesn't say it as often as mama or baba. I keep saying we should make her be a sheep for halloween intead of a monkey because she just says babababbabba all day long.

I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for Christmas and birthday presents for her. I don't want to get her toys because everyone will get her toys. I'm sure the grandparents will buy out Toys R Us entirely. Anyone have any suggestions?

9 Month Stats

It really seems like forever since I posted any stats...then again, it was 3 months ago that we went for a well baby check up, it just seems like forever.

Weight: 19lbs 12.8oz----65th percentile
Height: 28 1/2inches----75th percentile
head size: 44.8cm----80th percentile

Doctor said she's perfect. Like she'd be anything but?? I mean come on!

Addison had to have an anemia test done today. She didn't cry AT ALL! I thought for sure she would, but nope! But then she bled for 30 minutes. It was a little crazy. They don't put bandaids on kids because of the choking risk but after 30 minutes of sitting there with a fussy kid crying because I won't let her finger go and getting blood all over me and her, I asked them to put a bandaid on. I'd take responsibility if anything happened. So they did and what do you know? She stopped bleeding!

Monday we went to the ENT doctor for a consoult for tubes. He thinks she's a candidate because of the number of ear infections in 9 months. Next week she has a hearing test. I'm sure by the end of the month she'll have tubes in and her adnoids out. I just want her to be done with ear infections. They make everything miserable! So we'll see how that goes!
