3 months old today!

Happy 3 month birthday munchkin!! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and getting to know one another. She's almost doubled her birth weight. She's 13lbs as of tuesday. Shes in 3-6 month clothes and even some of those dont fit. She's talking alot more. I swear she laughed at dad today. He says no, that she was just talking. When I put her in her bouncer she just talks and talk and talks. Its really cute. She LOVES watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Whenever they sing a song she gets really excited and starts kicking and talking more. She was watching the Military channel with daddy today and just stared at the tv-probably in boredom like mommy :P

Well we are off to our first birthday party....that is if she wakes up in time...little stinker didn't go to sleep until 11 last night.

not another one

Addison has yet ANOTHER cold! Poor thing can't breathe even with sleeping on an incline, getting her boogers sucked out, putting saline in her nose at every changing (just makes remembering A LOT easier), and having a humidifier in her room. and her eye is all googy...just from snot, not pinkeye. She went to her first cook out today. She didn't have a much fun as I thought she would since the temperature dropped it seemed 20 degress from our house to the neighbors down the alley. She was all bundled up and couldn't see anyone so I took her home to be with my mom. I'm so happy that spring is finally here and we can start doing more things outside. Kyle even took her for a walk w/o me today! He said he just wanted to be with his daughter. Aww melt my heart :)

Bath Time

Some pictures from last night's bath time fun. She absolutely loves getting a bath. She just kicks and smiles and talks. Possible swimmer?? Kyle and I were swimmers in high school, so who knows?

6 year anniversary

Kyle and I's 6 year anniversary is coming up pretty soon-April 19th and I have NO idea what to get/do for him. He doesn't like presents and if he wants something will just go get it. Its the same with me, which is why he says he hasn't gotten anything for me for Christmas, my birthday, valentine's day or any other holiday in like a year. We have the money that if either of us wants it, we just get it. But I really want to go away. Not for the weekend, just a night. Just the two of us. Some place local so if there is an emergency we can be home in a few minutes. At the same time, I dont know if I'm ready to leave Addison yet. She'll be with my mom so its not like a stranger will be watching her. But she'll only be 3 months. Is that too soon? I really could use the sleep though. Kyle and I could really use the "us" time. I know I want to go to Maggiono's in Chicago. We've had a gift certificate for 2 years that we haven't used. We just get so busy and by the time dinner rolls around who wants to drive to Chicago and deal with that mess? Things have been so great between us. We haven't found in almost a year. I dont count the petty little arguments about the garbage or dishes or pop cans laying around. I know he's stressed at work but now that Addison is here when he comes home he relaxes for a little bit and then spends time with us. Sure sometimes she isn't too happy with him, but she's so used to being with me all day every day she isn't used to anyone but me really. I think that will change once she starts being more active and doing things. Last night she was in her bouncer just looking up at him and "talking" to him. If he got out of eyesight she got mad. He would tickle her and shed just look at him. He went out last night with Dan and she started to cry a little when he left. But if he holds her, thats another story. She'll start crying and screaming. and then he gets upset that shes crying. Oh its a big mess!

Today she was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and when the song at the end "Hot diggity dog" came on and she just kicked and started talking, almost laughing. Then I turned on Baby Einstein while I did the dishes and she was just in awe about the music and lights and everything. When it was over-I had no idea it was over-she started crying. She's also becoming more interested in the dogs. This morning when she woke up we said good morning to them like always and she was just in a trance looking at Cory. Cory and Addison are going to be pals when she's older, I can tell. I realize that I love her more and more every day. I honestly didn't know I could love someone as much as I love her. I always thought my love for Kyle was enough until I had Addison. Its such and intense love, I can't even describe it. When I'm holding her and she kinda wraps her arms around my neck and lays her head on my shoulder ahhh i love it. Or when she wakes up from a nap and I go get her and say 'Hi punkin' how she just smiles from ear to ear.

Shopping day!

Since it was a beautiful day out yesterday, Addison and I went out to Lighthouse Mall and hit up the sales at OshGosh, Carters and Gymboree. I spent $50 at Oshgosh and got 1 skirt, 2 capris, 3 shirts and an outfit. At Carters I spent the same and got a 5pack of onsie shirts, an outfit, and a dress. I got the cutest every day spring jacket at Gymboree for ONLY $10!! What a steal!

ExerSaucer

I've been thinking about getting Addison an exersaucer for the past couple of days. She loves to be standing up and loves lights and things that move (her bouncer moves, has lights and sounds). She might be a little young but I figure with some blankets propping her up she'll be fine. Then before I know it she'll be out growing it! I really can't believe she's 2 1/2 months old already.

I was thinking about this one but then I realized that I dont really have the space for something like this and its not in any stores for me to compare the size to a normal activity center. But the cool thing about it is the seat spins around the center and then comes off when baby can walk so you just have the center that does stuff. Very versatile and for $70 I think its worth the money.


And then I was thinking about something like this...my sister has the rainforest jumperoo from fisher price and put Emileigh in it when she was 2 1/2 months old and started actually using it when she was about 3 months old. Its $85 and really can only be used until they start walking..


And we did NOT have a good night last night!! she slept from 7:30-11:30, then got up to eat and was up for about an hour, got up at 3, 5:30, and 8:45 each and every time screaming like she was hungry, so I fed her and she'd eat 2-3oz and go back to sleep. Except for the 8:45 feeding she was up for about 1 1/2 hours.

Kyles mom also suggested that she (addison) wanted ice cream yesterday. UMMM ICE CREAM FOR A 2 1/2 MONTH OLD?! I just looked at her and said, not for a very very long time and we will be the ones giving it to her. Just another reason why the woman drives me crazy!

Another awesome night!

Addison went down at 8:30 and slept until 3. She woke up to eat but really didn't even wake up. She woke up for good at 7 and just went back down for a nap. It feels absolutely wonderful to get more than 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. I didn't sleep the entire 6 1/2 hours she was sleeping I was up at 1:30 getting Kyle up for work. But still when she woke up at 7 I wasn't dreading getting a bottle, I was very refreshed. After she ate, I folded some laundry, took a shower and we played. and then i got thrown up on :P Oh the joys of being a mommy!

We are having dinner at a friends house tonight. I used to babysit her kids and the oldest is turning 18 today. Makes me feel VERY old! I started babysitting them when I was 12 (12 years ago), the girls were 5 and 7. Its just amazing how fast time flies.

The boys are coming over at 1 to move a freezer from papa's to our garage so I should probably clean up the house a little. I need to vaccum AGAIN and dust and do the dishes. I should probably mop, but thats asking way to much.

Time to start the cleaning adventure......
