Out with the old, in with the new

I finally had to say goodbye to my Iphone 3GS on Friday :( The screen cracked interally so I have to take it to Apple in Chicago next week and see if they can fix it. If it can be fixed, Kyle will take the 3GS and we'll put all of Addi's games on his 3G and that will be her phone so she doesn't need to play with ours anymore. Yes, you just read that right. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter will have her own Iphone. She isn't spoiled or anything...

My poor poor Iphone :/

In the mean time I need a phone ASAP! I can't live with a phone and since we don't have a landline it's a necessity. Friday night I went to AT&T and was looking around at phones and saw this one

It runs on the Android technology (which I'm not use to AT ALL!!) and overall was a pretty good phone. I looooooooved the swype feature. You just swype your finger over the letters and the phone knows what word you're trying to type. Definitely made texting/typing much faster. The app store suuuuucks. None of my Apple apps were on the Droid market (except Facebook, Words with Friends and YouTube) so that was a downer. And I couldn't transfer my pictures or the majority of my music to the phone without buying a $5 app that got mixed reviews. The battery life also was absolutely horrible. I unplugged it at 5am and by 7 i had 70% remaining after only checking facebook a few times and playing WWF.

So I took it back today.

And picked up this beautiful phone :)

Its the Iphone 4... in white. I've wanted a white Iphone since they came out with them a few years ago. Seriously love this phone. I'm so acustom to Apple products, I'm not sure why I ever thought I could switch to an Android operating system. But no more stressing about the battery not lasting all day, my pictures/music not transfering over, nothing! Plugged the phone in and synced with iTunes and it's golden. Ahhh so easy and simple!

But now I can say that I have tried Android OS and don't like it :)

Family Fun Day!

Sunday we took a family trip up to Brookfield Zoo. It was SO.MUCH.FUN! Addi had a blast (like I knew she would)! We saw all but 2 exhibits and spent about 45 minutes in the Monkey area. The only area I wasn't fond of was the bat cave. I seriously had a panic attack and had to leave. Kyle and Addi stayed behind, I didn't want Addi to see me freak out so I just walked faster then they did. Here are a few pictures of us there. I think our next trip is going to be to the Shedd :)

~She was super excited to see the gorillas~

Love this picture <3

All tuckered out from being at the zoo all day

Addi's 1st gymnastics session is over tomorrow. It will start again in two weeks at The Courts. It is also family visit day and all of her grand parents are going to come see her :) I'm REALLY hoping she's on her best behavior!

Little update

I've now been a stay at home mom again for 2 months. It's been the most rewarding and difficult job I've ever had. I say that because I absolutely love staying home with Addison. I love waking up with her in the morning, cuddling with her on the couch, playing dress up, playdoh, painting, coloring, listening to music (Lady Gaga is her 2nd favorite :)...Princess songs being first). I love teaching her new things and hearing all of the crazy stories she has to tell me and anyone else who will listen. It's difficult because she's now getting to that point where she doesn't want to stay home with Kyle or go with anyone but her grandparents. Dropping her off at school is sometimes a challenge even though she talks about her friends all.the.time. She's starting to act up when I discipline her because she knows I won't actually do anything and when Kyle tries she runs to me for comfort and has a meltdown because someone else is actually disciplining her. And with this wonderful weather we are having *note the sarcasm* it's hard for us to do anything outside so we sit inside all day, just what I love doing :/

But on a much better note, she's so incredibly smart it's crazy. She knows the name of the sun, planets, moon, and what planet we live on. Pretend play is her absolute favorite. She's been saying that her babies "throw up" and she has to clean them. She will put them over her little baby doll potty and pat their back and say "its ok baby, keep going, get it all out". ---Which making her self throw up is also a new thing..so annoyed with it!!!--- She takes such good care of her babies/stuffed animals. She loves going to gymnastics. I'll be putting her in the second session for sure! I can't wait until she's 3 and we can start tball, soccer, dance and swimming. Yes I will be a "soccer" mom for sure...minus the minivan lol!

She's still going to school 2 days a week. I always joke that i'm the SAHM that never has her kid. Wednesday/Friday she's at school. Thursday afternoon she's with her grandparents. If kyle's home at night during the week I try and give them some time together since he's been working so much so I'll leave for a little bit.

That's really all thats going on around here. Kyle's working a million hours and I'm trying to keep a 2 1/2 yr old entertained :/

Morgan and Gymnastics

Saturday Addi had her very first gymnastics class :) Michelle and I signed up Morgan and Addi together so they'd be in the same class together and would actually participate and not just sit and cry the whole time. Well, it worked...Kinda... Morgan had a little freak out in the beginning when we were 'warming' up (to Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes of all songs!) and Addi freaked out during the somersault part. She didn't want to a back roll. But in the end both girls loved being together and doing gymnastics. Addi's favorite part (I think) was the uneven bars. The instructor let the kids hang there for a few seconds and Addi was upset when she had to get off. She also held her knees up to her chest for quite some time before she got tired. I'm very excited that she's getting into that age of being able to participate in sports/activites.

And now on to Morgan. Morgan and Addi are 2 weeks apart. They've been going to daycare since they were 7 months old. Within the last oh 6 months I'd say they have become the bestest of friends. They "call" each other on the weekends and constantly talk about one another. Here are just a few of the conversations Addi and I have about Michelle and Morgan :

addi talking on the phone:
"hi, how are you? oh i miss you! i sick. no school today. you my best friend?"
me: addi who are yiou talking to?
addi- Michelle silly!

Addi: mommy where is Morgan?
Me: at her house with her mommy...
Addi: I go to her house on Saturday!! I sleep at michelles. It's my house too.
Me: you want to leave mommy and go stay with Morgan?? That makes mommy sad :(
Addi: it's ok mom, u come play someday! ---The girls always say "some day" because thats what we tell them when we don't have a specific day planned..

The girls play so well together it's unbelievable. You would think being 2 they would fight over everything but they don't! Michelle and I joke about our own kids driving us crazy but we'd watch each others in a heart beat...or have them together.

I hope with everything I have Morgan and Addi stay friends forever. Morgan comes from a great family and Michelle and I are quickly becoming great friends and she will soon be having another baby that I can't wait to spoil :)
