It has been non stop around here this week!
Monday we hung out with Sarah, Hannah and Miles pretty much all afternoon.
Tuesday Addi went to school and I went to Ikea with Whitney. I had THE BEST chicken cesear salad EVER there. And also picked up a TV stand that was originally $100 for $20. We knew we were going to get a new TV soon and wanted a flat screen so why not? (See Thursday...SO glad I picked this up!)
Wednesday was Zumba (SO happy to be getting back to the gym!) and lunch with Whit and Lauren (who just had a baby on Thursday, congrats momma!),
Thursday we went to the movies to see Hop with Addi K and her mom Diane (another SAHM that use to go to take her daughter to school) and to the park..which was a little cold but fresh air makes for great naps :) While Addi was at grandma's house I went TV shopping...FINALLY!! Our 27" became possessed in the middle of the night Wednesday/Thursday so it was time. And by possessed I mean it turned on 3-4 times in the middle of the night, volume on full blast, the remote didn't work, the buttons wouldn't do what they were intended for. I somehow got the volume down to zero and went back to bed. Kyle unplugged it when he got up because it was on again. Talk about a CRAZY night?! We ended up with this one from Walmart, but it's $100 cheaper at the store..SCORE! It's so nice to have a big TV again :)
Friday Addi went to school for a couple hours while I hit the gym. My mom took us to Bellaboo's and of course all of the kids absolutely LOVED it!
Looking forward to what this weekend and next week holds for us!
Oh PS...I'll do a complete picture post later...Addi just woke up from her nap

Now it's official....
Thursday will officially be my last day at Arnell. My department is being cut, 2 girls are being laid off (myself and Melaine) and 2 girls are being transfered to other positions. This isn't some big surprise, it's been coming for a year now. It honestly doesn't make sense and no one but the GM wants this to happen. I'm not sad really. I'll miss the girls in the office. I'll miss our little family/support system that we've created. I'll miss some of the guys. I'll miss the hours. What I WON'T miss the the dealership drama. The lying to customers. The GM.
So the plan is that I'll stay home with Addi (and get unemployment) for a while and continue looking for a job. We are keeping her in school 2-3 days a week. I love that Kelly is so flexible and is allowing us to do that!! We can't pull Ad away from her friends...her bestest friend Morgan...it's just not right for her. Plus she's learning too much to stop now. I'm so grateful that she has an awesome teacher :)
Don't know if I mentioned this but Kyle may have a broken foot. He fell down a ladder on Thursday and as of right now it's just severely sprained. He goes back to the dr on Friday for more xrays. If it is broken he has to have surgery. He's on light duty at work for 4-12 weeks, in a boot cast and has to use crutches.
I guess the upside to me not working for a while is I can get my butt back to the gym. Addi is going to school Wednesday and Friday and zumba is at 9am on those mornings. Oh how I've missed it so much!! I'm also looking forward to the things I can get done around the house...like take down the ugly wallpaper in the kitchen and paint it, do yard work, go on playdates with my SAHM friends, destress from work.
I've come to the conclusion that this is a blessing in disguise and we'll get through this...

My Little Monster
Addi is now OBSESSED with Lady Gaga. and I'm perfectly OK with that...her daddy on the other hand...well not so much. Today we came home from work and school and she played in the back room and asked for "lady gaga mommy!!" so I plugged in my Iphone and we rocked out while I cooked dinner. Here's just a little video I took of her singing and dancing. She's putting her arm/hand up like the "monsters" do at the concerts-which I showed her how to :)-it's like fist pumping but with a claw instead.
Can i just say that I love my daughter <3

First Spring Pictures
Since we didn't do ANYTHING on Sunday (wich was exteremly nice!!) tonight I took some pictures of Addi playing in the dogs' cage with Cory. Cory is now Addi's favorite dog. I think it's because she lets her lay all over her and sit on her. I wish they wouldn't wake her up at night, I've always wanted one of "those" dogs that sleeps at the foot (or floor) of my kids room. But Cory (or Stewart) would try to sneak up on the bed and I'm not ready for that yet. Although I bet if I got Cory a doggie bed she'd lay on that...hmm something to think about :)
"take our picture mommy!"
She's such a cutie pie <3

So much going on...
Phew! Where do I start? We have been so jammed packed busy lately it's crazy (but fun)! We've been hanging out a lot with the moms/kids from daycare, which we all absolutely love. Every other Saturday we have a play date. Last weekend we went to the library and out to lunch, today was Miles' birthday party and since Kyle went to Chicago for a concert I had some moms/kids over. It was a blast! I love that all of the kids get along and can play by themselves for the most part. While the kids played, the moms and I played a dice game called 'left right center' it's pretty fun...would be more fun as a drinking game though lol :) Next weekend is Moms Night Out!! Whoohooo!! The game plan is bowling, karaoke and drinking--also known as westchester lanes-haha. I'm so incredibly lucky to have these women in my life.
Other big news? My stepsister from FL, Allison, is coming up April 13-20!! We've never met, Ray hasn't seen her in 20 years, so this should be a fun trip. We're planning a trip to Chicago one day, maybe up to MI another, who knows! We have a lot of catching up to do.
I'll upload pictures tomorrow...right now i'm going to bed! Night!

Heart is aching....
I'm so thankful that Addison has never had any serious medical conditions/problems. I have recently stumbled across two blogs that make me realize how precious life is.
2 kids, a mini van and a mortgage. Poor little Lucy was diagnosed with medulloblastoma. She's only 5 and going through a very intensive round of radiation and chemo.
It all started when two people fell in love.. This couple just lost thier 4 month old baby to what they think was SIDS. Maddie was at the sitter when she didn't wake up from her nap. I can't even imagine what they are going through. I'm so greatful I have a great daycare that I take Addi to and put 100% trust in Kelly, Rachael and Jen that nothing will happen to Addi. I know things happen and SIDS is not preventable, but still....I don't know...
So please, kiss your kids a little more tonight. Hug them a little tighter because you'll never know what could happen. I know I will.
I love you Addi Kay <3

Musuem of Science and Industry
Last weekend my dad and step mom took Addi and I to MSI. I was a little afraid that Addi wouldn't have fun and things would be too much for her but boy, was I wrong! She had such a blast! I haven't been there in years so I forgot a lot of the stuff they had. I love how much my parents adore Addi; and how much she adores them! It's great to see that she's such a grandpas girl like I'm such a daddys girl <3
