Valentine's Day

Little late but who cares right? Valentine's day was spent at work (blah!) but then Addi had a great party at school. I/we've been great friends with all the moms and other kids. In fact, the month of March is pretty much booked every weekend with playdates, parties and mom night outs! These ladies are fantastic. I am so greatful to have them in my life, and addi's too. Here are a few pics from the party :)

Aftermath of Snowpacalypse 2011

Well we got about 19" inches of snow last week. Here some pictures I took at home and with Addi playing outside. She LOVES the snow...just like her daddy. I wonder if this kid is going to be ANYTHING like me!? Well I guess she does like to shop so that's a good thing :P

I don't want to ever see this much snow again. If I didn't love my family so much I'd move somewhere where it didn't snow 4 months out of the year. Stupid stupid winter!

We are going the Museum of Science and Industry this weekend with my dad. I'm really looking foward to it! There will be lots of pictures to come :)

Snowmaggedon 2011

Welcome to Snowmaggedon 2011.

NOAA is predicting up to 24" of snow, the storm stretching from Texas to New England, up to 3" an hour.

Looks like SOO much fun!

I had to go to Walmart tonight after work. This is what it looked like...a flippin' mad house I tell you! It was worse than Black Friday!

There was NO bread...ok minus the extra and double fiber kind...no hamburger buns, no hot dogs buns, nothing! I had to settle for deli bread that was $5 for a small loaf. RIDICULOUS!

And because I think this is just funny....

I'm hoping we don't get hammered with snow. I know a certain momma who's getting induced on Wednesday and I'm sure she wants her little boy out! But then again, I'd love a day off work, hanging out at home with Addi, watching movies all day  :)

Quite the catch up....

Sorry I've been slacking on the blog posts lately, not a whole lot has been going on. We go to work/school, come home eat dinner and go to bed. Pretty exciting life we lead over here in the Ledbetter household, ha! But I guess there are a few things that have happened so here we go!

1. Let's not even TALK about the Bears game! Come on Cutler, what a baby!

2: Addi got her FIRST hair cut! Not a lot is gone but it's definitely enough to be out of her eyes and not so knotty when she gets out of the shower

3. Emileigh stayed the night the other weekend. Man that was uh...umm... adventerous? They were good until bed time when neither one of them wanted to go to sleep. It wasn't until 9:45 when they both fell asleep. That was after I told them to go to bed, Kyle told them and I threated violence...Ok, slight joke on the last part :P But Addi did get in trouble for biting Emileigh and Emileigh got in trouble for kicking Addi, so I guess I really didn't have to threaten. They did it on their own.

4. We've been having more play dates with friends from school. Morgan came over during the Bears/Seahawks game while Michelle and I went out to lunch with the other day care moms. It's nice to have a group of friends who aren't filled with drama. They are just working moms who love their kids and need to get out once in a while. No one's talking crap, gossiping about what's what, nothing, just acting like grown ups.

5. Addi has also been painting a lot more.The mess is fantastic, but you gotta love water color paints! She gets so excited when I clear off the kitchen table, throw down some paper and let her go to town. Can't wait unitl it's spring time and we can go out and finger paint!

Birthday Wrap Up

I just realized that I never did a wrap up post about Addi's birthday parties. Shame on me! Well she's a spoiled little girl and had 4. 1 on her birthday, 1 on the 29th at her great grandparents house, 1 on January 2nd with my family and one on January 8th with her friends. Go ahead, call me crazy. Call her spoiled, but you know what? She's my kid and if she's the only one that we're going to have then I'm going all out on parties, only the best for my baby :)

She loved all of her parties and is now walking around the house signing "happy birthday dora, happy birthday dora" don't know where she got that from since she has only recently started to like Dora but it's really cute.

Meet Brayden!

This is Brayden Scott.

He was born on December 28th, 2010. Weighing 8lbs 2oz.

Ramblings of a 2 year old

Some new funny (and not so funny!) phrases Addi says...

she'll put her finger on her chin, tap it and say "hmm, what's that" or "hmm, let's see" OMGosh it's too cute! I laugh each and every time!

When she wants you to follow her somewhere she'll turn her back to you, slap her butt/hip and say "come on mommy/dadda/dogs etc, lets go"....this is a DIRECT mimic from me.

Counts to 20 but skips 1 and 2. When you correct her she says "umm nope!" and continues counting

When she wants to be held she'll say "mommy hold you" or "mommy carry me" but it a VERY whinny voice...

She calls every business with cars "mommy's work" and every house that looks like daycare school. We'll be half way to school and she asks "where's school?" then gets really excited 2 seconds later and says "oh I see it mommy!! There it is"....but we aren't even in sight of it yet...

Shut up. Yes shut up. She said it 3 times on her birthday and I almost flipped my lid. I told her I was canceling her birthday and she wouldn't get any presents. She's lucky we were driving and she couldn't get put in the corner for it..... ugh, I'm still angry about that one!

I wish I could remember more. It seems like every day she's saying new stuff and mimicing people around her.

POTTY TRAINING UPDATE!!! Only 1 accident since Monday. Yes Monday!!! Whoohooo!! I'm so amazed at how she's doing. She even wakes up in the middle of the night to go (but still sleeps with a diaper on). My little girl is growing up :(
