Bathtime fun

We definetly have a water lover on our hands! Bath time is usually takes 30 minutes and two times putting warm water back in. After dinner I'll tell her to go upstairs for a bath and I swear she runs. Her shirt is half way off by the time we get into the bathroom and she's climbing over the tub trying to get in. I think I may have a future swimmer on my hands :)

A bunch of random stuff

Well happy late Valentine's day! Kyle and I spent Saturday night in Chicago with some friends and went to the auto show on Sunday. We had some great food in Chicago. I highly recommend Timothy O'Toole's and Giordano's.

My papa is going to Florida for the remainder of the winter to stay with my aunt and uncle.

I really can't believe how much Addison has grown and learned since she turned one. Not only is she borderline running, she is now saying mama, dada, papa, baba, stat (stewart) dog (cory), dog (dog), juice, kit kat (cat), hi, what's that, who's that, claps her hands when she wants elmo, will dance to any song, waves good bye, gives kisses on demand-and sometimes just because :), IS FINALLY SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!, will usually answer a yes or no question (either says yeah or shake her head), is following simple directions-sit down, go upstairs (for bath time), lets get naked, will help take off her clothes, tries to put on her shoes (or anyone else's for that matter), is starting to figure out how to use a fork, loves to drink from a "big girl" cup.

Oh man, I really don't know what else. I know there's more but I just can't think of it.

Here's a picture of her opening her gift from us on Sunday. What did she get you wonder? Elmo Loves You movie, an Elmo toy and two books. This kid has more elmo movies then I know what to do with-maybe I shouldn't have ordered her 4 more from Amazon.com then huh? Oh well!

Here's to old friends and new ones :)

A few months back I ran into a friend who I haven't seen since high school. We were inseperable in middle school. We drifted apart in high school but were always friendly to eachother. A few months ago I ran into her at the bar, got caught up on life, exchanged numbers blah blah blah.

Today we got the kids together. Oh man did they have fun!! Her son is 15 months old and is a typical boy! But they were so cute together!! He gave Addi a hug within 5 minutes of meeting her. We almost had tears in our eyes! They played and played, had a snack, shared sippy cups, ran screaming throughout the house, got into the pots and pans and overall had a great time! Addi was so wore out by the time they left she grabbed her blankey and baby and headed towards the stairs. I expect her to be sleeping for at least 2 hours!

I'm upset with myself for not taking pictures. :( but there will be lots more get togethers now that I know they only live 5 minutes from us :)

To my cousin...

Happy birthday Mark. You were taken from us too soon. You are truly loved and missed each and every day. I know you're up in Heaven with grandma looking down on all of us. Eric, Danielle and I celebrated your brithday tonight. It was a lot of fun, we wish you could have been there. Please continue to look down on us and know that even thought you are not with us physically, you are always in our hearts.

I love you

Not only has the last year flew by but I can't believe how intelligent my baby is! Dr said she's developmentally a 15 month old! She can say mama, dada, dog, whats that, who's that, kitty cat, papa, bite, will go get something-blanket, juice, baby doll when we ask. Can't say "elmo" yet but will start clapping when she wants to watch it, you know, because there's NEVER enough elmo in this house!

thats elmos world

Elmo's World is on constantly now. Every day. All day. I block it out as much as possible but sometimes it's hard. I can't even take her picture anymore because she's focused on Elmo.

Like here. All I wanted was a nice picture of her in her new rocking chair, but did I get it? NO
Photobucket

So we'd tried it again.. Notice the mean face!
Photobucket

She's even got the dog in on it!

I guess I should just accept that right now I am out ranked by Elmo. *Sigh*
