Bear Down Chicago Bears!
Last night Addison watched her first Bears game with Daddy! She actually WATCHED it, not the whole thing of course, but I'd say the majority of the 1st quarter. And when they scored the touchdowns, she was super exited! We kept saying 'Daa Bears' and she would mimic our sound. Melt my heart I tell ya! Here's to a fantastic 09 Season!

Mason Thomas
On Friday I had the privelage to witness my first nephew being born. Being on the other end of the table is amazing. Childbirth is the most amazing thing ever. I don't understand how people say its gross. My sister wasn't in labor very long and after 4 pushes Mason was born!
Welcome to the world Mason! August 14th 8lbs 15oz 21in 1:31pm

Thank you again Brittany for letting me be apart of your special day. I love you!

The Beach!
Sunday we went to the beach with my mother in law and some aunts/uncles/cousins. Addison really didn't enjoy it-probably because she couldn't just go crawling around, I didn't have an umbrella to put her in the shade (I know, bad mommy!), and the water was too cold for her. I think next year she'll have more fun with her cousin Emileigh and the new addition Mason!

New Foods!
I think Addison is getting sick of cereal every morning for breakfast so today I decided to change it up, so we had toast! Plain 'ole boring no butter, jelly, peanut butter toast. I've never seen a kid so happy to have boring toast before!

Want some mommy?

Just Kidding!

Toast, puffs and Juice..Breakfast of Champions!

OHHH BIG NEWS! The other day she grabbed my waffle which had butter on it and took a bite and she didn't get sick from it! so maybe she's outgrown this milk protien allergy thing? I'm too nervous to give her yogurt or any teething biscuits with milk in them. Maybe in a few months...

Well the time has come...
I have gone back to work. At first the thought of putting Addison in daycare or having anyone else watch her scared me to death. I didn't want someone else "raising" my daughter. I didn't want someone else watching her take her first step, say her first word etc etc. But the time has come for me to go back to work.
I thought it would be hard for me to drop her off at daycare Monday morning, but surprisingly, it wasn't. I gave her kisses goodbye, told Kelly about her morning and off she went playing. She had an "ok" day. A little whinny when she realized I wasn't around but soon went back playing. Kyle took her this morning and from what I was told she was a little stinker with him. Kelly said she had an AWESOME day! Didn't cry or whine at all except when she was hungry or tired. She took an hour nap (40 minutes longer compared to yesterday) and played all day. The other kids were sad to see her leave!
Just from the two days of her being in daycare, I can already see a difference in her needyness. She plays by herself more (not that I don't enjoy playing with her or anything), doesn't scream when I leave the room and is just becoming more independent...well as independent as a 7 month old can get I guess.
So I guess the time has come for me to let go of my insecurities of Addison being "rasied" by someone else and know that I'm doing something that will better her in the long run. *sigh* But seeing her face light up when she sees me when I pick her up makes it worth it! Definetly makes my day better!
